VALORANT Challengers Ascension Americas: Outright Odds

As we discussed in our very own GG.Bet review, GG.Bet is a reliable esports betting operator, one we’ll be using for this particular betting preview. Accordingly, kicking things off are the outright betting odds.

For those unaware, the lower the odds, the more likely a team is deemed to win the entire event. Here’s how the six teams stack up according to GG.Bet, an esports betting site:

Team GG.Bet Outright Odds
M80 1.7
The Guard 3.3
The Union 5.5
00Nation 30.0
9z Team 35.0
FUSION 51.0

Format and Schedule

Hosted offline at Brazil, Sao Paulo, the VALORANT Challengers Ascension Americas event is taking place between 30th June and 9th July.

Featuring only 6 teams, which is less than other regions, the format is split into two stages of competition ripe for VALORANT betting.

Starting with a Group Stage, the six teams are split into two Groups of three. Within each group, a single round robin is taking place where each team faces one another once in BO3 matches. Here’s how the teams have been seeded below:

  • Group A – FUSION, M80, The Union
  • Group B – 00Nation, 9z Team, The Guard

While no team will be eliminated in the Group Stage, each match will affect seeding into the Playoffs. Here’s how it works for each Group:

  • Winner – advances to Upper Bracket Semifinals
  • 2-3rd – advance to Upper Bracket Quarterfinals

Once in the Playoffs, the competition is determined by a double eliminaiton bracket – each match is a BO3, concluding with an epic BO5 Grand Final. Only one team will earn their spot at the 2024 and 2025 Americas League.

Ahead of this event, we’ve listed some esports betting opportunities amongst the opening matches as scheduled below:

July 2nd 2023

Let’s preview each of these matches using odds provided by GG.Bet!

VALORANT Challengers Ascension Americas: Betting Preview

M80 vs The Union

First things first, in Group A, we have a match between M80, the first seed from North America and The Union, the first seed from Brazil.

With two top seeds, this match should be an exciting watch. However, esports betting sites respect M80’s roster to be stronger and to have more experience at the highest level.

Bearing this in mind, M80 is the favourite in this opening match.

  • Predictions: M80 (2-0) The Union
  • Odds: M80 Outright Win (1.23), The Union Outright Win (4.08)

VALORANT Challengers Ascension Americas Betting Preview

9z Team vs 00Nation

Next up, we have a much closer match up between Latin America’s first seed, 9z Team and Brazil’s second seed, 00 Nation.

Despite 9z Team being a first seed, 00 Nation is favoured in this match according to the VALORANT odds. Yet, 9z Team has a fantastic chance of upsetting 00 Nation here, making it a great esports betting opportunity.

  • Predictions: 00Nation (2-1) 9z Team
  • Odds: 9z Team Outright Win (2.04), 00Nation Outright Win (1.76)
  • Betting Site: GG.Bet

00Nation vs The Guard

In this third match preview, we have The Guard – out of the six teams here, The Guard has the most international experience, the most achievements at VALORANT tournaments and are the favourite to earn the coveted seed for VCT Americas 2024 and 2025.

Bearing this in mind, this is quite the uphill battle for 00Nation who are not favoured in this particular match-up.

  • Predictions: The Guard (2-0) 00Nation
  • Odds: 00Nation Outright Win (6.03), The Guard Outright Win (1.12)
  • Betting Site: GG.Bet
