A long time in the waiting
Skullgirls 2nd Encore first released on PC a decade ago, but it was back in 2019 when confirmation of a Nintendo Switch and Xbox version was announced. That Switch drop took place, but Xbox players were left to wonder. And wonder. And wonder. That wondering stops today as Skullgirls 2nd Encore finally turns up onto Microsoft’s consoles.
Finally available to purchase, download and play through the Xbox Store is Skullgirls 2nd Encore on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. In fact, this one has taken so long to arrive that when we first announced that Skullgirls 2nd Encore was coming to Xbox, the Series X|S consoles were nothing but pipedreams.

Previously sitting unde the Skybound Games banner, Skullgirls 2nd Encore releases on Xbox via the Hidden Variable Studios and Autumn Games teams. A fast-paced, rather great looking 2D fighting game, if you’ve been holding out for this one on Xbox, then the wait is now over.
Whether you see yourself as a casual player or one of those highly competitive pad-crunchers, Skullgirls 2nd Encore is here for you. It comes fully voiced throughout its story mode, and is complete with some stunningly gorgeous visuals.
This one comes with no less than fourteen of the most original characters present and correct too. Alongside that comes a decent amount of mechanics and tons of personality.
