Format and Schedule

Qualifying for the event involved two regional competitions, where only the top 8 from each earned a spot. Here’s how the 16 competitors made it here from previous StarCraft tournaments:

• Gamers Without Borders 2023 World – ShoWTimE, Clem, HeRoMaRinE, Oliveira, Spirit, Elazer, Reynor, Serral
• Gamers Withou Borders 2023 Korea – Classic, ByuN, Dark, Creator, Cure, Solar, herO, Maru

Between 3rd and 6th August, the best StarCraft players in the world will fight through two stages of competition.

Firstly, there’s the Group Stage where all 16 players are thrown into one Group. In a pseudo-swiss-system format as used at the 2023 EPT Masters Regional events, players compete until they have lost or won 3 matches.

With matches being a BO3, only the top 8 progress to the Playoffs.

Once in the Playoffs, the final 8 fight through a single-elimination bracket, where only winning will keep you alive in the tournament.

Although the exact times are to be released, the following matches are scheduled for the opening day of competition with StarCraft 2 odds available:

Do note that in addition to StarCraft II, there is also a StarCraft: Remastered tournament taking place at the venue. This event may also feature StarCraft betting opportunities, as legends come out of retirement for a $100,000 prize pool:
