ONSYDE Gaming have announced via Twitter that (Wiki)Neeb is leaving the team to “focus purely on his studies.”

AdministratorHey HP can you redo everything youve ever done because i have a small complaint?

The first blow arrives…

A player with a ridiculous skill ceeling. He wasn’t always “there” for every event, but when he was truly in the kitchen, almost nobody could take the heat.

Farewell Neeb! May you be as successful in your studies as in your StarCraft II career. Your KeSPA Cup 2016 win will forever remain one of my favourite memories from StarCraft II.

I am boycotting ESL. Here is why: https://tl.net/forum/starcraft-2/584380-esl-sold-for-1b-to-saudi-backed-savvy-gaming-group?page=5#84

That’s sad.

I remember Scarlett writing on twitter in like 2016 that Neeb had god tier skills and I was like “huh, who?” and then he had his bloom in 2017!

GG Neeb, enjoy uni!

A sad day for the community, Neeb was such a staple of Protoss and at the forefront of NA talent for a long time. I will never forget that Fist of Neeb game against Rogue at Blizzcon.

Best of luck to him in his studies and overall future!

The very first non-korean who won a korean tournament inside korea.

He was already “retired” since the start of the school year no?
Probably just wanted/was required to finish his contract with Onside for the WTL.

I’d expect him to still play in the EPT tour next year.

Is there anyone who’s full time in NA now btw? Are Scarlett and Astrea full time?

Pretty sure he already was kind of out of it, but it was surely nice to farm NA for a good chunk of money. But now, with pirzepool cuts on the way and more competition in the new-formed Americas region, that would be just too hard.

Today we lost arguably the most accomplshed NA SC2 progamer in Neeb to academic studies. Wish him the best of luck in life and in this next chapter.

FF, KH, Persona, Uncharted, Yakuza | Porter, Illenium, MitiS, Dabin, Seven Lions, Petit Biscuit | Diablo II, SC2 | Pho, sushi, tacos

In SC2, yes.

In all of SC, no.

To be fair, Grrrr…won his OSL in 2000 and that was a completely different era in esports.

When Neeb was focusing on the game first and foremost he was a frickin’ beast.

Hell, he was still the undisputed #1 in the US even playing part-time.

He will be missed.

Slayer (norwegian player) won that huge KBK Masters tournament in 2000 also.
