Format and Schedule
Taking place between 4th and 6th August, $125,000 of prize pool is on the line for the top 16 Halo teams in the world a top Halo betting opportunity.
In addition, the top 6 teams will earn a seed to the Fort Worth Major and HCS Points which will prove essential later in the season.
Hosted offline at Salt Lake City, USA, the 16 teams have been seeded as follows:
- Top 8 @ Arlington Major – FaZe Clan, Spacestation Gaming, Quadrant, Sentinels, OpTic Gaming, Cloud9, Native Gaming Red, Complexity Gaming
- NA Qualifier – G1, BitterSweet
- NA HCS Points – Native Gaming White, Shopify Rebellion
- EU Qualifier – Natus Vincere
- EU HCS Points – The Last Dance
- MX Qualifier – No ORG
- ANZ Qualifier – Mindfreak
The stages of the competition are two-fold like all of the best Halo tournaments – Pool Play and Championship Bracket.
Starting with Pool Play, four groups of four teams have been seeded as follows:
- A: FaZe Clan, Complexity Gaming, Gamers First, Mindfreak
- B: Spacestation Gaming, Native Gaming Red, BitterSweet, NO ORG
- C: Quadrant, Cloud9, Native Gaming White, The Last Dance
- D: Sentinels, OpTic Gaming, Shopify Rebellion, Natus Vincere
From each Group, following a BO5 round robin, only the top 3 move on to the Championship Bracket, while fourth is eliminated.
Once in the double elimination bracket, the final 12 teams will battle through BO5 matches and a winner will be crowned in a BO7 Grand Final.
In this betting preview, we’ll be taking a look at each Group and predicting who’ll make it out and who’ll be eliminated.

HCS Arlington Major: Betting Preview
Group A

In a new form for 2023, FaZe Clan have maintained their status as a favourite for every event of the Halo Championship Series, winning Arlington Major Moreover, in this Group, they are the clear esports betting favourite.
Otherwise, Complexity Gaming and Gamers First are in a fair fight for second place.
In dead last, Mindfreak from the APAC region are ranked last simply due to their region.
Group B
- Spacestation Gaming (+225)
- Native Gaming Red (+1000)
- BitterSweet/Carpe Noctem (+2800)
- NO ORG (+49900)
Hosted by Spacestation, they’re also the favourites for Group B according to the esports odds.
In addition, this Group has a clear conclusion where Native Gaming Red are ranked second and BitterSweet look to finish over NO ORG.
Group C
- Quadrant (+800)
- Cloud9 (+2000)
- Native Gaming White (+2200)
- The Last Dance (+19900)
Cloud9 are certainly not the Cloud9 of last year, with the hopes from Europe in Quadrant being favoured in Group C. Meanwhile, Cloud9 looks to joust with Native Gaming White for the second and third spots.
For The Last Dance, it looks to be the last dance.
Group D
- OpTic Gaming (+250)
- Shopify Rebellion (+1600)
- Sentinels (+2500)
- Natus Vincere (+4000)
Although they haven’t maintained their undefeated run, OpTic Gaming are in great shape to take the HCS Global Invitational Salt Lake City.
On the other hand, Sentinels are still figuring out their new roster, which is ranked lower than Shopify Rebellion. In conclusion, it looks like a tall order for Natus Vincere to survive the group.
