Multinational brewing company BrewDog and Kegstar, the international keg and beer division of MicroStar Logistics, announced June 21 that the two sides had reached a new, long-term agreement that will see Kegstar power BrewDog’s global steel keg supply chain.

The deal expands on BrewDog’s pre-existing relationship with MicroStar and Kegstar in the United States. Moreover, Kegstar will now offer its exclusive steel kegs and quality services to BrewDog-owned breweries in Scotland, Germany and Australia with additional plans to expand across Western Europe at a later date.

“As the leading pay-per-fill supplier with a global reach across North America, U.K., Western Europe and Australia/New Zealand, Kegstar was the natural choice for us as we looked to expand our use of reusable steel kegs,” said James Watt, co-founder and CEO of BrewDog. “This new global partnership also supports our mission to use the most efficient, circular supply chain options available… MicroStar’s dense network of reusable, shareable kegs returns our planet’s finite materials back to the supply chain more directly.”
