Today, SiteSpect announced it has been certified by a third-party auditing firm for the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) for the 14th year in a row.

PCI DSS is a security standard initially established by the five largest credit card companies back in 2004. The standards are intended to ensure cardholder data is protected by all organizations, sellers, and their service providers that process, store, or transmit credit card information to prevent fraud and data breaches.

For SiteSpect, the PCI DSS certification is just one of the many privacy and security standards it maintains in support of its global business. SiteSpect also adheres to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). In addition, SiteSpect is Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) ready.

“Naturally I’m proud of being certified against PCI standards for as long as we have,” says Paul Silevitch, Chief Architect. “It demonstrates our continuing commitment to privacy and security. It’s not about being on a list, however. It’s about how we’ve properly secured our customer platform and corporate systems.”
