Cloudpunk is now optimised for Series X|S

Praising the detailed story, voice acting and soundtrack, it’s safe to say that we enjoyed our time with Cloudpunk when it released on Xbox in 2020. And now, three years later, developers ION LANDS and publishers Merge Games have given the Bladerunner-esque exploration game a new lick of paint. That’s right, Cloudpunk has got the Xbox Series X|S dedicated treatment!

Available now as a dedicated – and optimised – Xbox Series X|S title, Cloudpunk puts you in the workman boots of a delivery driver for the dubiously legal Cloudpunk delivery service.

Every neon-soaked, hum-drum metropolis needs its posties, after all, and the city of Nivalis is no different. Whilst you will at first be experiencing the delivery job in all of its glory, you’ll soon be introduced to all manner of human and humanoid characters who will start to open up the story.

You see, Cyberpunk is one for gamers who prefer to take their time with games, and wish to immerse themself in a good narrative adventure. Those looking for action will not find it within Cloudpunk, but that’s by no means a bad thing.

Key Features

  • Explore an immense vertical cyberpunk city with your hover car and on foot

Xbox Series X|S Enhancements

With the move to a dedicated Xbox Series X|S version of Cloudpunk, there’s some important stats to run you through. This is in addition to the improved bloom effects, draw distance boost and greater volumetric lighting afforded by the more powerful consoles.

On Xbox Series X, you will get the choice of two optimisation modes. Either play through things with the upscaled 4K, 30fps mode, or prefer a higher frame-rate with the 1440p, 60fps option.

Xbox Series S players, on the other hand, will receive 1080p, 60fps gameplay.

Available Now!

Cloudpunk can now be played natively on Xbox Series X|S, so what are you waiting for? Check it out via the Xbox Store for £19.99, and take a look at our Cloudpunk review for Xbox here.

Owners of the digital version of Cloudpunk on Xbox One will be eligible for a free upgrade to the Xbox Series X|S version.

Cloudpunk Xbox Series X Game Description

A neon-noir story in a rain-drenched cyberpunk metropolis. It’s your first night on the job working for the Cloudpunk delivery service. Two rules: Don’t miss a delivery and don’t ask what’s in the package.

Your name is Rania. This is your first night working for Cloudpunk, the semi-legal delivery company based in the sprawling city of Nivalis. You go everywhere, from the Marrow below to the spires that pierce the grey clouds high above before scraping the edge of the troposphere. No delivery job is too dangerous, and no one is faster than a Cloudpunk driver.

In this story-based exploration game, you will meet a diverse range of characters including androids, AI and unscrupulous humans at every level of society. Everyone has a story, and in the course of one night in Nivalis, everything will change.
