We’ve known for a while that DRIFTCE would be coming to console with wheel support in house, but finally the time comes to get behind that wheel and lay down some serious rubber.

Available today for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 players to get to grips with is DRIFTCE; a game that arrives on the back of the success of DRIFT21 on PC.

It comes from 505 Games and ECC Games (they previously behind the likes of Car Mechanic Simulator) to ensure petrolheads on console get to prove their worth in driving sideways. Flicking the rear out and stamping on the loud pedal is something that never gets old, but in DRIFTCE it’s that drift that is the main draw.

With a career mode to take in, some time attack, Gymkhana, solo run, free ride, sandbox and quick race events in place, DRIFTCE should well be able to cater for hours of power-fuelled sessions, as Xbox and PlayStation folk get behind the wheel of a fleet of cars. And you’ll be able to tweak those motors to your liking too, with more than 1800 replaceable parts present.

This is drifter, and that means some of the most iconic drift vehicles will be present in DRIFTCE. There will be 12 cars in all, including the likes of the Toyota AE86, the Mazda MX5 and BMW E46 M3. Full car list…

  • • Toyota AE86
  • • Mazda MX5
  • • Nissan Silvia (S15)

With upwards of a dozen tracks all recreated through Laserscan tech, there’s a chance that DRIFTCE will be the go-to console drifter, allowing you to power around the following circuits…

  • • EBISU Minami
  • • EBISU North
  • • EBISU West

We’ll be running review as soon as we can get behind the wheel of DRIFTCE, but for now you can find the download you need over at the Xbox Store, playing it on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. It’s on PlayStation too. Expect to pay £24.99 or so.
