Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has enabled its customers in Singapore to transfer funds to and from their account using any local bank through FAST (Fast And Secure Transfers) for free.

Additionally, Coinbase has made the onboarding process for its users simpler with a secure “2-click” experience through the integration of Singpass.

Coinbase’s Country Director for Singapore Hassan Ahmed wrote in a blog that the crypto exchange’s upgraded retail platform as well as its new strategic banking partnership with Standard Chartered, aims to provide its users with a seamless, safe, and convenient experience when trading digital assets.

Coinbase’s platform offers the crypto trading of over 200 assets such as Bitcoin to Ethereum. Given the vast number of choices for its users to choose from, the crypto exchange launched Coinbase Learning.

This comprehensive catalogue, offering beginner-friendly guides as well as advanced trading strategies, is designed to educate customers about the cryptoeconomy, as well as provide tips for safely navigating the market.

Coinbase has also upgraded its help center where a team of experts are available to answer any questions users may have and provide the support they need through an array of tools including live chat.

In October last year, Coinbase received In-Principle Approval (IPA) from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) under the Payment Services Act (PSA) to provide regulated Digital Payment Token (DPT) services in the island state.

Coinbase said that it will be ramping up its international expansion plans over the next 8 weeks beginning with Singapore.
