ALGS 2023 Split 2 Format

Just like Split 1, the ALGS 2023 Split 2 format features three stages of competition – the Regional Pro Leagues and Split 2 Playoffs.

Regional Pro Leagues

For each region, the format is identical for teams to qualify for the Split 2 Playoffs. However, there are differences in the number of seeds and the prize pools for these online events:

  • North America – $125,000 – Top 10 seed to Split 2 Playoffs
  • South America – $62,500 – Top 4 seed to Split 2 Playoffs
  • EMEA – $125,000 – Top 9 seed to Split 2 Playoffs
  • APAC North – $125,000 – Top 8 seed to Split 2 Playoffs
  • APAC South – $62,500 – Top 4 seed to Split 2 Playoffs

Every team that does not earn a seed to the Split 2 Playoffs will be offered a chance to compete in next Split’s Qualifiers.

Competition within each regional pro league involves all 30 teams being divided into three groups of ten. Following a double round-robin format, following the classic Apex Legends points system, teams will rank by points.

Moreover, the top 20 will then compete in a Regional Final for the chance to earn further points and determine the final standings.

Starting in March, the Regional Pro Leagues look to conclude by the end of April, with most reasons not determining the end date as of publishing.

Split 2 Playoffs

Taking place offline, the top 40 teams will compete for the grand prize of $1,000,000. All the competition will take place across three stages:

  1. Group Stage – June 8-9th – four groups of ten teams compete to have the best seeding possible in the next stage. Specifically, the top 20 start in the Winners Bracket, and the bottom 20 start in Lowers Bracket.
  2. Bracket Stage – June 10th – one 6-game series in the Winners Bracket (10 move on) and two 6-game series in the Losers Bracket (10 move on)
  3. Finals – June 11th – final 20 teams will compete using Match Point Format, Winners Bracket teams start with an advantage.

ALGS 2023 Split 2 Schedule

For an updated schedule, we highly recommend visiting the official Apex Legends esports page to follow the region of your choice.

Predictions

Naturally, the most telling findings for our predictions are the placements from the Split 1 Playoffs which concluded in early February. Certainly, these are a strong influence on the ALGS 2023 Split 2 odds.

Here are the top 5 ALGS 2023 Split 2 teams from that event and their respective regions:

  1. TSM – North America
  2. NRG – North America
  3. Acend – Europe
  4. XSET – North America
  5. Alliance – Europe

Let’s see if Europe and North America can continue to dominate competitive Apex Legends – such a notion may be worth considering if you choose to do some Apex Legends Global Series Split 2 betting!
